Electromagnetic Compatibility testing for worldwide acceptance

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) is the ability of an equipment to function satisfactorily in its intended environment and does not cause any degradation to other equipment. At SIRIM QAS International, our Radio Frequency and Electromagnetic Compatibility Testing Section was established to provide services related to the telecommunication products (wireless and wired product) under the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (SKMM) requirements, which involves of radio frequency, electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility and iDTV performance test.  

Benefits of Testing

• Test reports are recognized by SKMM and accredited by the Department of Standards Malaysia and international bodies i.e. APLAC and ILAC.

• Provides an independent assurance that the test is done in accordance with the Technical Specifications and Standards speficied by SKMM and international standard bodies i.e. ETSI, FCC and CISPR.

• Products tested provide an excellent marketing tool and enhance customer acceptance and confidence on the quality and safety.
